Who we are

What we collect

When you pitch Byteforce through the Pitch Room, we collect:

• Your first name, full name, email address, and company or idea name.
• The transcript of your Pitch Room conversation and a draft structured summary created from it.
• Your recording and marketing consent choices, the policy version you agreed to, the page you submitted from, and your browser's user agent.

The Pitch Room is a recorded voice conversation. We ask for your explicit consent before the microphone starts. Your audio is streamed to OpenAI for live speech processing and transcription, and Byteforce stores a private recording so the studio team can listen to your pitch during human review.

AI processing

During a pitch conversation, OpenAI's Realtime API processes your audio and text to hold the conversation, create a transcript, and produce a draft structured summary. The AI never evaluates, accepts, or rejects your pitch. Every selection decision is made by the Byteforce studio team. Byteforce does not use your pitch to train AI models.

How we use your information

• To review your pitch and respond to you.
• To assess a potential venture partnership: by humans, not algorithms.
• To send occasional Byteforce updates, only if you ticked the marketing consent box. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.

Where your information lives

We use a small number of service providers to operate the site and review pitches:

• Byteforce Team Space, hosted on DigitalOcean, is our private pitch review CRM.
• MailerLite: email, only if you gave marketing consent.
• OpenAI: live voice, transcription, and draft extraction during the conversation.
• DigitalOcean: website hosting, serverless infrastructure, private database hosting, and private object storage for Pitch Room recordings.
• Cloudflare: content delivery and security in front of our hosting.
• Google Analytics: aggregate website usage statistics (see the cookie policy).

We never sell your information.

Retention

Pitch Room recordings are automatically deleted after 180 days. We keep transcripts, structured summaries, and pitch submissions for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, or for the life of an ongoing partnership conversation. You can ask us to delete your pitch and its recording at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the information we hold about you. Email [email protected] and we will act on it promptly.

Children

The site and the Pitch Room are not directed at anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with an updated date. Material changes to how we handle pitch data will be flagged in the Pitch Room itself.
